Local Transport
Blaxhall is served by an excellent network of trunk roads. The A12 & A14 provide fast, easy access with the Midlands, London & the Home Counties just 2 hours drive away.
From the A12, at Little Glemham take the turning to Blaxhall (Church Road). At the end of this road turn right again onto Beversham Road and continue forward onto Farnham Road. Take the first right after the railway crossing onto Rectory Lane. Follow this road and you will come to a hamlet of houses, where you will find Admiral Cottage.
Blaxhall is served by a regular and reasonably frequent bus service
64 Aldeburgh - Saxmundham - Woodbridge - Ipswich (drop off on A12 at Little Glenham - Lion Inn or in Wickham Market)
165 Ipswich - Woodbridge - Rendlesham - Aldeburgh - Leiston (drop off at Blaxhall Youth Hostle - approx 15-20 minutes walk to cottages)
Linking services available via Suffolk Links Alde (scheduled service) or Coastal Accessible Transport Service (needs to be prebooked).

The nearest rail station is Wickham Market, an unstaffed station on the East Suffolk Line between Ipswich and Lowestoft. It is located in Campsea Ashe approximately 1 1/2 miles from Admiral Cottage.
There is a regular service to Ipswich and Lowestoft with links to London & the East of England. Direct train services are now being run direct from Wickham Market to Liverpool Street station London. There are now 10 trains per day (Mon-Fri). The first train leaves at around 6.30am and the last train home leaves Liverpool Street at 9.00pm.
Tickets can be bought on the train, from the National Express site, or from other online shops such as Qjump. Alternatively, Saxmundham station has a shop where tickets can be bought.
